Commercial Vehicle HGV Technician

W.S. Coachworks Ltd is looking for an experienced HGV Technician to join our commercial vehicle repair centre in Welham Green, Hatfield, Hertfordshire.

The successful candidate will have experience in a workshop environment and supply their own hand tools. An HGV driving licence and forklift truck licence are required. The role involves vehicle diagnostics, mechanical repairs and electrical work, including stripping vehicles, identifying parts and arranging orders.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out HGV inspections
• Perform brake roller tests
• Prepare vehicles for MOT tests
• Carry out repairs and routine servicing
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical faults

The role is full time, based on a 40-hour working week, Monday to Friday, 8.30am–5.30pm. Attendance bonus and overtime opportunities are available. Reliability, motivation, teamwork and a commitment to quality workmanship are essential.

LGV/HGV Panel Beater – MET Stripper & Fitter

We are seeking an experienced MET Stripper/Fitter Technician for our commercial vehicle repair centre. The role requires practical experience with hand tools, power tools and diagnostic equipment, along with strong mechanical knowledge and previous workshop experience.

The successful candidate will be confident stripping vehicles, identifying parts and carrying out repairs, and able to work independently and as part of a team. This is a full-time role, Monday to Friday, 8.30am–5.30pm, with attendance bonus and overtime opportunities.
